I have only two units left in my inventory of Model B cameras: numbers 12 and 15. I probably won't be building any more Model B cameras. If you are interested in buying one of them please see the Ordering page for details. I am still building Model D cameras as time allows.
Cameras are listed in descending order of serial number, thus also indicating relative production date. All cameras are signed by me and stamped on the bottom with serial number.
Understanding the serial numbers: The first letter, B, refers to a particular prototype. (Yes, there was an A, but it was shaped differently and was too hard to build.) The three numerical digits after that are the actual camera number; they are never repeated. So camera number B017ZW, for instance, is also just plain old number 17. The final letters indicate the dominant wood, mostly just to jog my own memory: BW – burled walnut, LW – lacewood, LWW – lacewood & walnut, RW – rosewood, SP – satinwood & purpleheart, TM – tiger maple, TMW – tiger maple & walnut.
"Lens mount" refers (throughout my website) to the wood disk that retains the metal aperture disk; obviously there is no actual lens. The "lens mounts" of all cameras are as shown on camera number 1 (at bottom). All cameras include one aperture disk — a 400-micron diameter laser-drilled pinhole in .0005" stainless steel, supplied by Lenox Laser.
